Prerequisites to Install the Interactive Media Object Development (iMOD) Tool

Before installing the Interactive Media Object Development tool, ensure that you have Internet Explorer 5.01 or above installed on your computer.
If you are using Windows NT4 (with Service Pack 6a) machine, Word 2000 or higher needs to be installed to support Foreign Language object authoring.

Hardware and Software Requirements for the Interactive Media Object Development Tool

Hardware & Software Environment (if Unicode support required)

The following table lists the requirements to support the authoring of Interactive Media Objects for English and foreign language courses.

Platform Requirements	Desktop Platforms Windows NT4 with SP 6A, Windows 2000, XP
Browser requirement to use the authoring tool	Browser Version Internet Explorer 5.01 and above
Data Access Components requirement to use the authoring tool	Microsoft Data Access Components 2.7 Microsoft Jet database engine 4.0
Plug-ins required to view the published objects while authoring	Flash 6 Player
Browser requirements to view the objects	Browser Version Internet Explorer 5.0 and above Netscape Navigator 4.7 and above
Plug-ins required to view the objects	Flash 6 Player

The multilingual interactive object can only be published on Windows NT 4 SP 6A, Windows 2000, and above.

The following table lists the requirements to support the authoring of Interactive Media Objects for English language courses only.

The Interactive Media Objects of English courses can be published on Windows 98 and above.
