ALT Project: Facilitating Learning Online (FLO)
Project Description
Facilitating Learning Online (FLO) is a eight-week continuing education course designed by ALT and offered through North Georgia College & State University's Continuing Education Department. FLO provides participants with a facilitated, self-contained, and experiential learning environment, lead by experienced online instructors. Course participants will also receive a solid foundation in educational pedagogy, experience communicating in online discussion areas and working in online groups. Participants will need to commit about four-six hours per week for eight weeks.
Audience
FLO is designed for faculty who are thinking about or beginning to facilitate online courses, or who have decided to augment traditional classroom instruction with online course materials. FLO also offers opportunities for Teaching Assistants and students in instructional technology, adult learning, communications, and other programs of study.
